Gameplay Loop
There’s no linear path to completion but each player can choose what completion is for them, no matter what you path you choose, the gameplay loop keeps you engaged by setting new goals to unlock each step of the way.
- Build - You start off by building an enclosure, animal or amenities
- Balance - You need to satisfy the needs of the animals/guests to make them happy.
- Gather - Reap rewards of happy guests and animals (money, popularity).
- Research - Research new improvements or partnerships to adopt exotic animals.
- Expand - Build new enclosures, animals and amenities.
Building Feature
The game has a lot of different features of building all sorts of things from different types of terrain, to different types of walls, to different plants and trees.
The focus isn’t just to build, but to build a beautiful artwork. The games art style was meant to create a rich vibrant gameplay experience.
Players have the option to build and add different types of terrain, trees, rocks, plants, buildings, decorations, and so much more.
Growing Challenges
You have to handle each individual animals wellbeing, from how comfortable they feel in their habitat, how clean they feel, how lonely or crowded they feel. Just like in reality, there will be random challenges you will have to face, maybe an animal might have a poop attack, or they might get super hungry and eat faster than the food can be replenished. From sickness to overstimulation, from being too hot to being too cold, there’s always some fire to put out!
NPCs
Not only are there funny little fellows walking around admiring your beautiful zoo, but you can have additional NPCs do little work around your zoo, such as keeping the zoo clean, feeding animals, taking care of the plants, and much more. This adds an element of automation to minimize manual intervention and maximize efficiency.
But good help isn’t cheap, while they are working, it’ll also cost you money. So there’s always a challenge to balance the finances to keep your zoo running smooth.
Research and Expansion
To keep players engaged there is a mini research/expansion tree that will allow you to grow new plants, raise new animals, build new buildings, and more. This will also come with a cost.
