Dev Log #4 - Looking at Menus & Limited User Testing
Menu Changes
After initial rounds of testing the major annoyance was clearly evident, the menus sucked. Not only were they unintuitive to use, but there weren't enough clear instructions on how to use them. So this week has been going back and making every menu mouse accessible, and also have a navigation bar towards the side of the game. Not going to lie, this has been quite tedious because every menu is slightly different in their own unique way. Let me know what you think about a side navigation.
That all being said, some of the menus will go through further modifications and enhancements as the game development goes on. For the upcoming Pre Alpha Demo release, I think I am at a great spot.
Limited Number User Testing
Testing has been going great! We haven't found any major bugs that require a substantial amount of change. Which is definitely a good news. But there have been quite a number of quirks here and there that I've been fixing progressively. I'm confident that the limited number user testing should be done within a week or two so that the pre alpha demo can be launched next month. I hope you're as excited as I am!
